The Food Bin/Herb Room gig was an informal open-air performance on a beautiful
sunny Sunday afternoon in Santa Cruz, with our friend and teacher Pak Nyoman
Wenten and his wife Ibu Nanik, herself an accomplished performer of Javanese
and Balinese dance. Sights like this are common in Bali - the instruments
informally arranged in a garden or open-air space.
The players at the Food Bin were Cecile Cruz, Danica Stein, Justine Kragen, Steve McDonald, Margret McGilvray, Jonathan Glass, Dan Phillips, Astrid Randall and Martin Randall, and, of course, Nyoman Wenten and Ibu Nanik.
